Grady Buchanan is an institutional and risk-based asset allocation professional. With a passion for bringing venture capital to those who have the interest, he co-founded NVNG with Carrie Thome in late 2019 and serves as one of the team’s Managing Directors.
Before launching NVNG, Grady worked with the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation’s (WARF) $3B investment portfolio. While at WARF, his focuses included private equity and venture capital initiatives including the vetting of venture capital firms to be considered for inclusion within the overall portfolio, in addition to helping the team in setting and implementing investment strategy and policy recommendations.
Seeing a need for an online social community to foster entrepreneurial ecosystem growth, Grady co-founded OmniValley. OmniValley is a closed network of institutional investors, venture capital firms, accelerators, and ecosystem supporters to better connect under-ventured entrepreneurial ecosystems.
Prior to his work with WARF and OmniValley, Grady worked in Treasury Sales and as an Investment Analyst in positions with Wells Fargo and Northern Trust. Grady is based in Milwaukee, WI.
Grady spends his time as a mentor with BizStarts, a one-stop resource center that helps underrepresented entrepreneurs launch and grow their businesses throughout the Milwaukee area.
Grady received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
